Davtyan Medical Weight Loss & Wellness is committed to making lapbandla.com usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. This page explains where we currently stand, what we know still needs work, and how to tell us if something on this site gets in your way.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. lapbandla.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means some parts of this site do not yet fully meet the standard. We are working through a documented remediation plan, and the specific gaps we know about are listed below.

What we have done

• Commissioned an independent accessibility audit of representative pages against WCAG 2.1 Level AA in July 2026, including automated testing and manual review.
• Adopted a prioritized remediation plan from that audit, with the highest-severity items scheduled first.
• Added a “Skip to main content” link to every page, so keyboard users can bypass the navigation instead of tabbing through it on every page load.
• Marked the primary menu as a navigation landmark so screen-reader users can jump to it, or past it, directly.
• Given every submenu expand control, form field, embedded frame, and icon-only link a meaningful name that assistive technology can announce.
• Corrected the page language on our Spanish-language pages, so screen readers read that content with Spanish pronunciation rather than English.
• Added column-header relationships to our procedure comparison tables, and made scrolling content regions reachable by keyboard.
• Verified that pinch-zoom and text resizing are not blocked anywhere on the site.

Known limitations

We would rather tell you what is still broken than imply the work is finished. As of the date below, we are actively remediating:

• Color contrast. Some text set in our lighter brand coral — parts of the main navigation, some headings, some phone numbers and buttons — does not yet meet the 4.5:1 minimum contrast ratio. This is the largest remaining item and is under review.
• Video captions. Three embedded procedure videos on our Allurion gastric balloon pages (English and Spanish) do not yet have synchronized captions or a text transcript.
• Form labels. Some form fields rely on placeholder text, which disappears once you begin typing, instead of a persistent visible label. Required fields are not always clearly marked.
• Third-party widgets. Our live-chat window, review feed, and embedded video players are supplied by third parties. We have not yet completed keyboard and screen-reader testing of each one.
• Heading structure. A small number of pages skip a heading level, which can make the page outline harder to follow when navigating by headings.

Assessment approach

This statement reflects a combination of automated testing (axe-core) and manual review, including keyboard-only navigation and inspection of page structure and naming. We re-test after significant template or content changes, and we intend to repeat a full review at least annually.
